ActivityPub is a decentralized social networking protocol that allows different social media platforms to communicate and share content with each other. It enables users to follow and interact with accounts on different platforms, regardless of the specific software or service being used
 
ActivityPub is based on the principles of the federated web, where multiple independent servers or instances can connect and exchange information. Each server is responsible for hosting user accounts and content, and users can interact with each other across different servers
 
The protocol defines a set of standardized methods and data formats for creating, updating, and deleting content, as well as for following and interacting with other users. This allows for seamless communication and content sharing between different platforms that support ActivityPub
 
One of the key advantages of ActivityPub is its decentralized nature, which means that no single entity or platform has control over the entire network. ActivityPub has been adopted by various social media platforms.
