Project Aurora & Ukaz asset
Archer Aviation was founded in 2018 to develop electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircrafts. They can transport people in and around cities in an "air taxi" service and are currently ideal for destinations under 100 miles, easily replacing a 60-90 min drive with a 5-10min flight (https://t.me/QuantumStellarInitiative/31977) which will also help lessen traditional traffic congestion. Right now, Archer is on pace to begin commercial operations in USA by 2025 (https://www.msn.com/en-us/video/money/archer-aims-to-put-flying-taxi-in-service-by-2025/vi-AA1k0ck5?t=32&ocid=socialshare), in UAE by 2026 (https://www.flightglobal.com/aerospace/archer-on-target-for-2026-uae-operations/155825.article), and also in India by 2026 (https://www.flightglobal.com/airframers/archer-and-interglobe-strike-deal-to-launch-2026-air-taxi-operations-in-india/155734.article)
Major Partnerships/Investors
United Airlines is its first major corporate partner, having ordered 200 Archer electric aircraft in June 2021 (https://www.reuters.com/business/archer-go-public-united-airlines-invests-orders-electric-aircraft-2021-02-10/) and then putting in another $10 million deposit for 100 more electric flying taxis in August 2022 (https://t.me/QuantumStellarInitiative/13176). In November 2022, Archer and United Airlines also announced plans for the first electric air taxi route in the US, with an initial route between Newark Liberty International Airport and the Downtown Manhattan Heliport (https://aerospaceamerica.aiaa.org/archer-united-airlines-choose-newark-to-manhattan-route-as-the-first-for-archers-air-taxis/), to begin in 2025 as part of their national Urban Air Mobility (UAM) network
Institutional investors also recognize Archer’s potential, such as Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest (https://investorplace.com/2023/09/cathie-wood-just-added-more-archer-achr-stock-to-her-arkk-etf/) increasing its stake by acquiring over 230,000 shares of ACHR stock on 20 September 2023
Other key and well-known partnerships include Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth funds (Abu Dhabi Investment Office & Mubadala Investment Company), Boeing, and Beta (as detailed in this hyper link) (https://t.me/QuantumStellarInitiative/31580). Archer and Beta developers shared a joint press release outlining an “industry-first agreement” to roll out an interoperable fast-charging network across the zero-emissions aviation segment (https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20231107548198/en/Archer-Aviation-and-BETA-Technologies-Collaborate-to-Accelerate-the-Adoption-of-an-Interoperable-Charging-System-Across-the-Electric-Aviation-Industry). A recent report by General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) (https://prismic-io.s3.amazonaws.com/archerv2/fb524537-1541-4d7e-b4b5-0f812862e1a4_Interoperability_of_Electric_Charging_Infrastructure_v1_0.pdf) concluding that shared charging infrastructure offers numerous benefits over multiple proprietary protocols developed by OEMs. In addition the collaboration between Boeing and Archer will help put Archer at the forefront of the autonomous (self-piloting) air taxi industry (https://t.me/QuantumStellarInitiative/28569)
Progress on Commercial Production & Service
On 17 November 2022, Archer unveiled details of its production vehicle called "Midnight", which is a piloted, four-passenger air taxi (https://archer.com/news/archer-unveils-its-production-aircraft-midnight)
Two months later, in January 2023, Stellantis joined forces with Archer to manufacture Midnight and seeks to become their exclusive contract manufacturer (https://www.stellantis.com/en/news/press-releases/2023/january/stellantis-to-build-electric-aircraft-with-archer-and-provide-strategic-funding-for-growth). Stellantis also provided up to $150 million of equity capital for Archer to spend at its discretion through 2024
In March 2023, Archer and United Airlines announced plans for an electric air taxi route between O'Hare International Airport and Vertiport Chicago (https://investors.archer.com/news/news-details/2023/United-Airlines-and-Archer-Announce-First-Commercial-Electric-Air-Taxi-Route-in-Chicago/default.aspx) on the city's near west side
In July 2023, Archer also extended their contract with US Air Force with another $142 million (https://electrek.co/2023/07/31/archer-aviation-evtol-purchase-contract-us-air-force-worth-142-million/). In addition to purchasing 6 Midnight eVTOLs, Archer has agreed to share additional flight test data and certification-related test reports, pilot training, and help the DoD develop maintenance and repair operations under its AFWERX Agility Prime program. The program, which Archer has been involved in since 2021, has been established to assess the potential of eVTOL technologies. The Air Force is planning to use Archer’s Midnight aircraft for personnel transport, logistics, and rescue operations
One year after Archer unveiled plans for Midnight, this aircraft debuted 13-17 November 2023 at the Dubai Airshow (https://www.msn.com/en-ae/news/featured/archers-midnight-evtol-the-taxi-aicraft-star-of-dubai-airshow-2023/ar-AA1jVpXV) where InterGlobe Enterprises, India’s foremost travel and hospitality conglomerate, immediately signed an MOU (https://www.jeccomposites.com/news/interglobe-enterprises-and-archer-aviation-announce-plans-to-launch-all-electric-air-taxi-service-across-india-in-2026/) to launch electric air taxi service across India in 2026. The following day, on 16 November GAL AMMROC (https://menafn.com/1107442359/GAL-AMMROC-And-Archer-Aviation-Hold-Signing-Ceremony-At-Dubai-Airshow-Celebrating-Their-Planned-Electric-Air-Taxi-Service-Collaboration) and Archer immediately held a signing ceremony to celebrate their collaboration to expand in the region beyond UAE. GAL AMMROC is a military maintenance company and will be developing support services for Midnight’s operations. On 17 November, Archer closed another $500 million deal for 100 more aircrafts with UAE private helicopter firm Air Chateau International (https://www.aerotime.aero/articles/archer-aviation-agreement-air-chateau-uae-dubai-airshow). Air Chateau was the 1st private heliport operator company in the UAE to establish a heliport and lounge terminal at the land side of Dubai World Central Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). It has subsequently built multiple touch points across the state, and its operations are targeted at ultra-high net worth individuals who need to be connected between the UAE’s airports, cities and key attractions
